Greg is an Assistant Professor at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He teaches politics and law courses and heads up the pre-law program there. He is known for his lively “Socratic” method of teaching and for supervising the pre-law “Mock Trials” on campus. He is a member of the Faculty Senate and consistently receives exemplary student teaching evaluations. He writes a regular column on politics for The All State collegiate newspaper and has been published in numerous publications including Reader’s Digest, The USA Today and The National Jurist.

Greg was born and raised in a small town in rural Connecticut. He worked in the family business of re-finishing and delivering furniture. Instilled with a strong sense of work ethic and sense of service, his grandparents were immigrants who worked in factories and his Dad and uncles served in the military. Throughout school Greg worked full-time while earning his degrees. He first got the political “bug” while growing up around his grandfather who was a small business owner and State Representative. Later this passion for public service was honed when Greg was honored by being invited to participate in Boy’s State Leadership Conference held that year at the US Coast Guard Academy. Active in student government at the University of Connecticut where he studied politics and journalism, he then earned his Masters Degree in politics at the American University in Washington DC. Immediately upon graduation Greg worked for a US House of Representatives Member and later, worked at the United Nations in New York.

Prior to teaching, Greg was a sought after corporate trainer and manager while he earned his doctoral degree. Fulfilling a lifelong goal, Greg also attended law school nights while working full time at Marquette University Law School. He is a certified mediator who continues to help people from all walks of life learn to resolve disputes. Greg, his wife Mara and their young son are active members of their local YMCA, and support such local charities as “Home for our Troops,” and “Loaves and Fishes.” Greg serves on the Board of Directors of The Arts and Heritage Development Council of Clarksville, the Rudolphtown Home Owners Association, and is a Member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Mediators, the AAUP and the Montgomery County Democrats and Tennessee State Democratic Party.
